Not doing things perfectly…
"Operational excellence is not about doing things perfectly. It's about doing things consistently well, even when things are tough. It's about creating a culture of continuous improvement where everyone is empowered to make a difference."
As an operations guy for the last 10 or so years, I’ve been asked the question, “What do you do?” Depending on the day, the answer can change. I think the quote above tends to sum it up…’consistently well.” You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up and dig in. I say this on my website. Fail Fast and then fic it fast too. Come with another solution…don’t just stand there. By doing this and learning from the things that didn’t work, you will more than likely…improve, get better, be better.
By consistently delivering high-quality products and services, operational leaders can help their businesses to thrive. This quote also emphasizes the importance of creating a culture of continuous improvement, where everyone is encouraged to think critically and find ways to improve the way things are done.
I hope your day is filled with things you can identify, quantify and improve. FIX FAST…FAIL FAST!
